Advanced Restorative Dentistry to Address Your Unique Needs

Dental Implants

Dr. McEvoy has undergone extensive training in dental implant placement, both in the US and in the UK. As a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology and Implant Dentistry, he is an excellent choice for your restorative care. Dr. McEvoy performs all aspects of implant placement here in the office. If needed, he can also complete preparatory procedures, such as bone grafting and sinus lifts. After any preliminary work, he can place and restore your implants.

Inlays and Onlays

If you have a very large cavity that requires more than a filling, an inlay or onlay can restore your tooth. These custom-made restorations are used to treat molars, fitting in between the cusps (inlays) or over the cusps (onlays). Dr. McEvoy will use our advanced CEREC® system to create your inlay or onlay here in the office. The device will create a digital impression of your tooth that will guide the milling machine as it creates a custom restoration for same-day placement.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are tooth-shaped restorations that fit on top of damaged teeth. They can strengthen weakened teeth, cover major structural damage, and restore balance to your bite. To place a crown, Dr. McEvoy will first remove the damaged or decayed portions of your tooth. He will take an impression of the tooth and send it to an outstanding dental lab to create a zirconia crown. This material is virtually indestructible. It also has an incredibly realistic appearance.

Same-day Crowns

In addition to lab-fabricated crowns, Dr. McEvoy also offers same-day crowns made with our CEREC® system. This technology takes digital impressions of your teeth, and generates a three-dimensional computerized model. The data will guide a milling machine that uses diamond-tipped tools to create a customized restoration from a block of porcelain. While you wait, you can relax and watch TV with our virtual reality glasses.

Dental Bridges

If you are missing one tooth or several adjacent teeth, you may benefit from a dental bridge. This custom-made restoration can fill the gap between teeth, and blend beautifully with your smile. For a traditional bridge, Dr. McEvoy will crown the teeth on either side of the gap, and these crowns will support the whole bridge. He also offers implant-supported bridges. Both options involve a metal-free restoration made from zirconia.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

If your smile is compromised by trauma or decay, Dr. McEvoy will help you select several restorative procedures. He will use the latest technology, including digital x-rays and 3-D scanners, to gain a complete understanding of your oral health. Next, he will recommend a combination of treatments to fully restore the health and function of your smile. Along with his gentle techniques, Dr. McEvoy offers nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and injection-free local anesthesia.

Tooth-colored Fillings

In the past, fillings were always metal. Many dentists still place silver amalgam fillings, but Dr. McEvoy only uses tooth-colored composite resin fillings. In contrast to metal, this material blends in with your teeth for a natural look. Meanwhile, this composite resin is mercury-free, eliminating many of the health concerns associated with metal fillings.

Dr. McEvoy offers exquisitely crafted dentures to replace missing teeth. Thanks to advanced fabrication techniques, these restorations fit better than ever before. Implant-retained dentures can rest on four or more implant posts, precisely positioned to create the ultimate foundation, allowing you to chew and speak without worrying that your dentures will slip out of place. Together, you and Dr. McEvoy can decide which option is best for you.
